Training Course 'Marie Curie Actions: How to design a successful proposal, particularly for Innovative Training Networks Calls'

This course, which takes place on 29 September in Turin, is the first of two modules in a training pathway dedicated to Marie Curie and ERC Actions. This first module will deal with techniques for successful project design of Marie Curie Actions, while the second (30 September – 1 October 2015) will treat project management of Marie Curie and ERC Actions. It is possible to attend both courses or only one of them.

This training course will cover the following topics:
1. Short introduction to Marie Curie Actions; features of ITN Actions
2. Access to funding opportunities: reference websites (e.g. Participant Portal) and support tools made available by the European Commission (e.g. EURAXESS website)
3. Identifying calls for proposals: instruments, utilities and advice made available by the Commission
4. Analysis of the calls’ structure
5. Proposal submission procedure: PPSS/SEP and information requested in different steps
6. Instructions to complete Administrative Forms: information on the consortium, ethical issues, supporting documents
7. Instructions to complete Proposal Submission Forms concerning the technical-scientific details of the proposal: Guided analysis of the Forms, with particular attention to:
7.1. Drafting the 'Excellence' Section: identifying project objectives, subdividing the project into Work packages paying attention to definition of Training and Knowledge Sharing activities
7.2. Drafting the 'Impacts' Section: defining impacts, foreseeing methodologies for result dissemination and exploitation
7.3. Drafting the 'Implementation' Section: devising project management structures; identifying assumptions and risks, indicators and related means of verification
8. Project evaluation criteria
9. Practical tips to elaborate a successful proposal.

The course specifically addresses the needs of professionals and project managers who are involved in the design of Marie Curie projects, both in the private and the public sector. The course can be an effective tool to help participants to successfully manage projects, as well as to further develop their internal project management strategies. It can also provide a good opportunity to network and to share good practices.

The course will be held on Italian. Courses can also be offered in English on demand.

Dates: Tuesday 29 September (from 09:00 to 17:00)

Course fee for attendance only to the first module (29 September 2015): EUR 500+VAT.
Fee for those who will attend both modules (29 September 2015 and 30 September – 1 October 2015): EUR 1200+VAT (i.e.: EUR 500+VAT for this first module and EUR 700+VAT for the second module).
The fee includes tuition, documentation (both in printed and electronic format), certificate, morning coffees and lunches.
