WORKSHOP: Horizon 2020 - Developing Winning Proposals

Workshop Date: 29 April 2014
Workshop Location: Cambridge, UK
Workshop Organisers: Singleimage Ltd

29 April 2014
Austria
Horizon 2020, the EU’s new funding programme for research and innovation, was launched at the end of 2013. With a budget of over €70bn for the seven year period to 2020, it represents a significant source of support for research and innovation. Universities, companies large and small, institutes and government bodies can all be funded.

This workshop will explain how to prepare a winning proposal for collaborative research projects in the areas of Societal Challenges and Enabling and Industrial Technologies programmes of Horizon 2020.

The workshop starts with the evaluation process and criteria, the chief financial conditions, and rules on intellectual property rights. The main part of the day will focus on the proposal itself, showing how a well designed project and consortium will meet the evaluation criteria. Examples from real proposals will illustrate good and bad practise in presenting bids.

The workshop is ideal for researchers, research managers and advisors new to the framework programme, who are preparing a proposal and trying to understand what is involved in Horizon 2020. It would also be an excellent refresher course for those with previous experience.

The workshop consists of lectures and practical exercises, and is limited to 24 participants.

If you would like more information about this workshop please contact me or visit our website at: www.singleimage.co.uk. Please also note that the nearest large airport to the workshop venue is London, Stansted.
