Conference: How to prioritize Public Health Interventions against Human Influenza ?

Contribution of the FLURESP European project - 28th March 2014 - European Commission DG Sanco - Luxembourg

28 March 2014
Austria
The FLURESP European project (funded by the EAHC under the reference 2010 11 01) "Cost-Effectiveness Assessment of European Influenza Human Pandemic Alert and Response Strategies" has developed and tested original methods in Public Health for prioritization of interventions against human influenza: according to a set of defined criteria, response strategies can be ranked in terms of performance, costs and cost-effectiveness. In addition simulations of various combinations of interventions can be assessed in sequence in order to improve European public authorities’ ability to better respond to various categories of threats through better preparedness planning.
The objective of this public conference is to bring together experts, FLURESP researchers and stakeholders involved in public health, health planning and influenza preparedness all over Europe, in order to exchange information and bring novel contributions to the field of Public Health prioritization of interventions against human influenza.
The Conference will discuss the latest challenges about prioritization and will present the results of the FLURESP European project. Specific sessions will be organized on cost-effectiveness assessment of multiple interventions and on the presentation of the new prioritization educational tool directly by their developers.
