Study and training conference on the Horizon 2020 Programme - 6th edition (Rome, 26th March 2014)

This event targets the needs of professionals and project managers who are involved in the management of H2020 projects, both in the private and public sector. The event can be an effective tool to help participants manage projects successfully, as well as to further develop their internal project management strategies, thanks to a direct confrontation with European Commission officials.

26 March 2014 - 26 March 2014
Austria
With the opening of the European Union's new funding programme for research and technological development, the appointment with the Study and Training Conference jointly organised by Studio Cippitani-Di Gioacchino-Iozzolino and EU CORE is back for its sixth edition. Significantly renovated, the upcoming conference will allow participants – mainly administrative and research personnel, project managers within firms or research bodies, officials from European, national and regional institutions – to consolidate their understanding of the new Horizon 2020 Programme, while discussing and exchanging views over the most innovative aspects of the EU financial programming for 2014-2020.
Consistently with the well-established tradition of the conference, broad room will be foreseen for debate and analysis of common solutions and strategies aiming to fully exploit the potential of Horizon with the precious advice of the invited experts. The fundamental objective will thus be to anticipate possible emerging questions over both the elaboration and management of projects funded by the new Programme as well as satisfying the demand for professional update of participants' project management competences.
The morning session will open with the analysis of the new financial regulations to be applied to claim personnel costs in Horizon projects and will continue with the presentation of the new features of the Auditing activities in Horizon. The afternoon session will be devoted to explain the new discipline for Open Access and IPR management and the management of ethical issues within H2020 projects. The conference will close with a presentation aimed at explaining the current European Commission organizational strategy aimed at assigning to external executive Agencies the task of implementing part of Horizon 2020.

The conference is organised under the auspices of the Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”.
