United Kingdom
Targeted events for the third call of the European Information Society Technologies Programme, which opened on 10 February 2000, are being held in the United Kingdom in March 2000.

Organised by UKISHELP, the UK Helpline for the European Union's Information Society, they are aimed at persons interested in Key Action three - multimedia content and tools, healthcare information systems, and Key Action two - new methods of work and e-commerce.

The events are designed to help participants understand the requirements of the programme in order to win European funding for projects.

There will be an opportunity to hear directly from European Commission officials about what is required from proposals. Seminars will feature interactive workshops led by officials from the Commission who will explore in depth the action lines which are open under this call.

The first event will cover multimedia content and tools and will take place on 2 March between 12.40 and 18.00.

The second will cover healthcare on 6 March at 14.00 until 18.00.

The final event covering new methods of work and electronic commerce, will take place on 10 March from 12.40 and 18.00.

On the mornings of 2 and 10 March there will be a workshop aimed at those who are interested in the IST Programme but find the language, philosophy and requirements daunting.
