Netd@ys Europe 2000
Applications are open to organisations interested in organising both online and offline events to demonstrate the good use of Internet technology in education and culture in the broad sense of 'lifelong learning'.
The following policy objectives will be pursued:
- Promotion of citizenship: helping Europeans acquire the necessary skills to participate in the Information Society;
- Culture: linking education and culture;
- Equal opportunities: Promoting access to citizens from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with special needs;
- Beyond Europe: encouraging participation from Eastern European countries and beyond.
Proposals may be submitted at any time before the Netd@ys week, but projects requesting a Community grant must be received before 3 May 2000.
Financial support of at least 20,000 euro will be given to umbrella projects involving a maximum of partners and participants from different countries.
Netd@ys was first launched in 1997, and last year encompassed 150,000 participating educational and cultural organisations in 35 countries. Over 5 million visits were received on the Netd@ys website in the same period.For further information please contact:
