The Association for Geographic Information has issued a call for papers for the AGI Conference taking place at the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) 2000 event in London, UK, on 26 to 28 September 2000. The deadline for submissions is 29 March 2000.

Now in its twelfth year, the AGI conference claims to be Europe's leading event for investigating the potential of geographic information technology for business and government applications.

The provision of geographic information is now part of a much wider agenda, underpinning business processes in both the public and private sectors.

The broad themes for this conference will be geographic information supporting 'UK plc' and managing and integrating g-business.

The three day event will cover technology on day one, applications on day two and policy on day three. Each day will comprise four main sessions with three papers of 20 minutes presented at each.

In addition to the presentations, AGI is inviting poster presentations for the Project Showcase on the exhibition floor, as well as proposals to run workshops.
