This summit shall focus on the current hot topics Big Data and Software Engineering and will be a great opportunity to meet and network with key stakeholders from the software, services and data domains, access up-to-date information, discover the latest technology and market trends, identify research and business opportunities, and find partners for Horizon 2020 funded calls.
This year, the NESSI summit will focus on two major topics that NESSI finds highly relevant:
- Big Data Value for Europe. The Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda on Big Data Value that NESSI is currently preparing together with the FP7 Project Big and other stakeholders from academia, research and various sectors, is now open for consultation at www.bigdatavalue.eu. The main findings from the consultation together with the final SRIA draft will be presented at the NESSI summit as well as further details on a cPPP (contractual Public Private Partnership) on Big Data Value currently being under consideration at EU-level.
- Software Services and Software Engineering. Advancing the position of the European Software Industry is a main priority for NESSI. In that context NESSI is currently drafting a white paper on research for Software and Software Engineering and will take the opportunity to discuss the content and main messages at the summit.
Participants of the NESSI summit 2014 will be able to contribute to the discussions around these two important NESSI topics to influence the directions for research and innovation activities in the coming years.
