MoICT final event brings Water ICT project to an end

The MoICT project has focused on the scientific theme of ICT for Water and dealt mainly with capacity building activities (on ICT/Water/ICT for Water/ Raising Innovation and quality of Research Management, as well as, the strategically strengthening Université Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah (USMBA) in order to become a regional centre of excellence in the field of ICT for Water. The conference will be held in Fes, within the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of USMBA, and will bring all the members of the MoICT consortium together.
In addition to the MoICT consortium, there will be also renowned international experts in the field of ICT and Water, representatives of the European Commission, of national public bodies and of national and international stakeholders from industry. They will share their experiences and enrich the debates and discussions. One of the experts attending will be Dr. Steven Libbrecht, a senior consultant with Prospex, who is specialised in corporate development and in assessing and exploiting the potential of new ideas and innovative technologies.
At Prospex Steven is currently leading the new EU research project BEWATER, and will present the innovation and technology transfer session and debate, whose main role will be focused on the participatory processes to actively engage stakeholders. This includes the identification of the stakeholders, the design, preparation and facilitation of the participatory processes.
. The conference will be conducted mainly in the form of round tables and supervised discussions around three topics:
- ICT for Water research
- Technology Transfer and Innovation
- Networking
This meeting will offer participants the opportunity to develop a cross reflection on the concept of applicability of ICT in the Water field according to a European/Mediterranean/Regional and National vision, to enlarge their networks and partnerships, as well as, to think of new horizons for future collaboration beyond MoICT.
