The EDEFU Project – New Design of Ecological Furnaces – is coming to an end with some innovative solutions and achievements that will be presented in a Final Workshop, held in Brussels on May the 22nd.
EDEFU has achieved key results to reduce emission and improve the energy efficiency in foundry industries by
• Hybridation of heating technologies
• Furnace design, construction and validation
• New improved refractories
• Energy efficiency technologies
The results of the project hold an important potential to other energy intensive sectors, production sectors (construction, automotive, consumer goods industry, etc.) and related technology suppliers
