The profile of renewable energy in the UK will receive a boost shortly when the Centre for sustainable energy kicks off its series of four seminars on 'Energy efficiency and renewable energy, involving communities'.

The Centre claims that there is a need to clarify exactly what the term 'community' means and will be looking to focus on ways in which to establish and encourage the support of local communities. As it states, success in these areas is essential if governments are to meet their pre-set environmental targets.

Starting on 3 May, there will be a seminar on the same day of the week, each week, until the last one on 24 May.
