EFB Side Event on Waste & Water in Brazil

According to these themes, Europe for Business Ltd will organize on June 5th a Side Event in Brussels, 14b Rue de la Science, titled “Social Innovation in the Waste and Water Smart Cities in Brazil”. The event is conceived as a workshop and it will focus on social innovation for waste and water related to Brazilian smart cities.
The worskhop starts from the activities performed within several EU Projects in the target field, with participation of Speakers from EU and Brazil. Experts from Europe for Business, Università Roma Tre, Universidade Federal do Pará, CTM, Università di Ferrara, WE & B, Universidade Estadual do Amazonas, Prospex, JRC, KWR, TECNALIA, University Parthenope of Naples will present their projects in order to share their knowledge on these delicate themes.
Moreover, the event will deal with how smart cities can become waste-wise and water-wise cities and the workshop will then focus on issues where Waste, Water, Energy and Transport can be integrated and linked to social innovation.
The event is intended to contribute to identify existing and potential waste & water treatment, reuse, recycling and sanitation technologies that are socially accepted, community owned and for the benefit of communities, both urban and rural level.
