'Automobile distribution in the new millennium: who will be in the driving seat?' is the subject of a conference organised by Forum Europe and the Association of European Car Manufacturers, being held in Brussels, Belgium, on 10 and 11 May 2000.

The aim of the event is to bring together decision-makers from different sections of the automobile industry, as well as senior European and national policy makers to discuss the implications of the imminent expiry of the EU's block exemption on distribution.

Issues of transatlantic collaboration, and the implications of e-commerce on the industry's distribution systems will also be considered.

The closing panel discussion will be addressed by Eric Van Ginderachter, Head of the transportation Unit of the Competition Directorate-General.
