The training centre (FTU) of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) offers a workshop on ‘Coordination of Complex Projects’ in Karlsruhe on 27 November 2014.

Many scientific projects are very complex and require a special know-how. People involved in complex projects must have a good understanding and knowledge of the state-of-the-art project management tools and coordination methodologies.

The following topics will be covered
Organization of Project Complexity
• Defining complex and interdisciplinary projects
• Defining the project managers role, qualification and requirements
• Organizational project structures
• Project processes
Managing Project Complexity
• Project areas
• Quality management
• Intercultural project management
• Challenges and solutions

The aim of the workshop is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills as required by project managers and project staff of complex projects.

It is designed for research managers and administrators, scientists, engineers, technical and administrative staff involved in projects and limited to 12 participants in order to ensure a high quality standard.

Course fee: 545 EUR, KIT employees and EARMA members 490 EUR

The fee includes tuition, documentation, certificate, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, refreshment drinks
