Workshops: OR and Big Data

The structure of the workshops considers:
• In the first day (09-Sept-2014), a meeting of teachers, researchers, students, and practitioners in relevant topics of OR in Big Data context; this meeting includes 3 panels (Health, Energy & Industry, and Logistics & ICT), and the brief presentations will be followed by a discussion period.
• In the remaining days (10-Sept. and 7/8-Oct-2014), several "hands-on" sessions with IBM tools ("Hadoop", "Big Data"), laboratory applications, and case studies.
The registration/attendance in the different days runs autonomously, however active participation in the complete sequence of training sessions is strongly recommended for participants interested in practical developments and applications of Big Data.
