The EUROFORGEN Network of Excellence was launched in January 2012 and aims to develop a European Virtual Centre of Forensic Genetic Research that integrates research needs and capacities.
Our main goals are:
- To achieve a closer integration of existing collaborations and to establish new interactions in the field of security by addressing all key players: scientists, stakeholders, end-users, educational centres and scientifc societies
- New research developments in forensic genetics, training and educational activities
- To explore the impact of modern forensic genetics on the society
Spearheaded by the European Union (7th Framework Programme), more than 200 laboratories across Europe are associated with EUROFORGEN-NoE! We would like to invite you to take part in this meeting, no matter your area of expertise. A wide range of experts are involved in the whole process from crime scene to court room, police, medical examiners, forensic scientists, legal system experts, the judiciary, policy makers, and others.
This interdisciplinary meeting is a good opportunity to be in touch with other experts, realize the needs of all parties involved in the investigation of crime and the security system, and establish new and more powerful collaborations that will improve the administration of justice.
