Greek universities showcase their research

The research results, productivity and most innovative projects of Greece's universities will be on show at the 'Fair of Research and Technology 2000' from 22 to 25 May in Athens. The conference and exhibition is organized every three years by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, and will take place this year at the university's Zografou campus.
The conference will focus on several aspects concerning the research activities within universities such as: research and graduate studies, technological education and production, research and the provision of technological services and exploitation of research results and innovation.
An extended session will be devoted to the advantages of quality assurance certification for the academic laboratories. Many shorter sessions will be devoted to specialised research topics, such as: materials, informatics, energy, environment and preservation of cultural heritage.
An exhibition will accompany the fair, featuring stands from the various research units of the NTUA as well as stands presenting the research activities of other Greek Universities and research centers. Visits to many of the university laboratories will also be possible.
