The European Commission will organise on 1-2 June 2016 the Personalized Medicine Conference 2016 which will explore personalized medicine through a research policy lens, focusing, inter alia, on awareness, integrating ICT solutions, clinical research, innovation, and sustainable healthcare.
BBMRI-ERIC is organizing a side seminar, which is to take place on 31 May 2016 and aims to explore and better understand the potential contribution of the activities BBMRI-ERIC undertakes to the achievement of the proposed roadmap for personalized medicine. Entitled “From Biosamples to Personalized Medicine” the seminar will examine how increased access to biomolecular material will enable progress to personalized medicine, while recognizing the future impact of the General Data Protection Regulation and the potential offered by the European Union’s Open Science Cloud and related data health systems.
