System science in healthcare

The European Commission's Quality of Life programme will be represented at the seventh international conference on system science in healthcare from 29 May to 2 June 2000 in Budapest, Hungary.
The organisers, from the Technical University of Budapest, are hoping the event will mark a new era in healthcare research. 'All healthcare workers around the world face the same challenge to improve the quality of their services while reducing costs,' they say.
'It's imperative for us to find the right balance between these problems. ICSSHC'2000 has been designed to facilitate dialogue between researchers and health politicians. The conference will give a complete picture of all current issues of the health system and propose a lot of innovative solutions.'
