Training Course on “The recent regulation on General Data Protection and its implications for the management of projects funded with external funds”

The course aims at analyzing the main features of the General Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679 in the European Union (into force from 25th May 2018) and specific obligations arising therefrom. In particular, the course will focus on the obligations for beneficiaries under programmes funded by the European Union, especially those regarding research and technological development.

 Founding principles, European and Italian legal basis
 Personal and sensitive data
 Recipients and areas of application

• Main changes introduced by Regulation no. 2016/679
 Procedures for dealing with personal data
 Anonymisation and pseudonymisation
 Specific rules applicable to the processing of data for scientific research
 New provisions concerning the processing of genetic data
 Relations with ethics committees and with authorities
 The new role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO)

• Applicative implications for the management of national and international research projects
 Privacy and project design
 Processing of privacy policy documents
 Models of consensus
 Data storage rules
 Transfer of data to other entities within the partnership or to external bodies
 Transfer to third countries

THE COURSE WILL BE HELD IN ITALIAN. Courses can also be offered in English on demand.
