An international workshop on 'The future of solid state NMR in biology' will be held in Leiden, the Netherlands, from 4 to 8 October 2000. It will be connected with the official opening of the first European NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) centre, to be held on 6 October.

'This European prototype facility for ultra high field MAS NMR is centred around the first wide-bore 750 MHz solids spectrometer and is especially constructed for this purpose' say the event organisers.

Requests for registration forms should be made before 15 May 2000.
Those wishing to present a poster, should send the title poster and an abstract attached by e-mail to the organisers as soon as possible.

The conference is organised with the support of the European Commission's Quality of Life programme.
