The results of research projects overseen by WONDERMAR, and their successful implementation by the maritime industry, will be discussed at the third WONDERMAR workshop on 26 May 2000 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

WONDERMAR is an open user group in the maritime sector coordinating the activities of European projects whose main focus is the dissemination and exploitation of results.

Presentations will outline the importance and expected benefits of electronic commerce for the maritime industry, as well as providing an overview about relevant developments in the EU's Fifth Framework programme.

The workshop will address the use of electronic certificates in maritime industry, the application of electronic catalogues for design and purchasing, and the impact of multinational standards on the supply chain management.

Technical managers particularly from small and medium sized enterprises who are interested either in the take-up of information technology-based business solutions or in the participation in future European research activities, are expected to attend. Consultants, academics and the supplier community are also invited to participate.
