A new conference focusing on the values -both social and economic - of networked interactive media and the new economy, will take place in Berlin on 12 to 14 May 2000.

Monomedia Berlin will address the following questions:

- what are the issues of a new economy and how much is it developing alongside the Internet?
- is there added value for the user and the producer based on how new media and its applications are designed?
- how do new media offer new systems of measurement and evaluation?
- what are the primary issues surrounding change in our central societal values as it occurs alongside technical evolution?

Speakers from the scientific, art and business communities will address the conference, attempting to forge a new understanding of current developments.
