An analysis of interdisciplinarity in European technology projects will be the key focus in the Technology Assessment (TA) conference taking place in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Germany on 15 to 17 September.

The conference is designed to take a look at how successfully scientific disciplines have overlapped in research projects. Separate sections of the conference will take in the areas of interdisciplinarity's methodology, its involvement of laypeople, how it can be transformed into 'transdisciplinarity validity' and a couple of TA case studies will be used to make these points.

Representatives from academic institutions from all over Europe will be attending as contributors. Grants for researchers to attend the conference may be available upon application.
