Three information days centred on the third call for proposals of the growth programme are being held in the UK during June.

The third call will be published on 6 June with a closing date of 15 September. The budget will be concentrated on the following areas:

- Key action one - innovative products, processes and organisation (call budget 70 million euro). There will be a strong synergy with this key action and a call on microsystems in the IST programme;

- Key action two - sustainable mobility and intermodality (call budget 102 million euro);

- Generic materials technologies (call budget 80 million euro).

The three information days will provide an in-depth view of the areas open for submissions. Key action one and generic activities on materials technologies will be covered on 16 in London and 19 June in Warwick, whereas key action two will be addressed on 19 June in London.

The seminars are geared towards providing advice on preparing high quality proposals, thereby increasing the chances of success. Presentations by EC officials and experts will focus on better understanding of task objectives and the evaluation criteria. Particular attention will be paid to areas of weakness and failure as perceived by evaluators in the earlier evaluation rounds.

A number of intensive proposal preparation workshops will be held following the information days. The workshops will provide valuable assistance to proposers through hands-on analysis of successful proposals, proposal writing exercises and pre-screening of proposals.
