The second international conference for North American multiphase technology in the oil industry will be held on 21 and 22 June 2000 in Banff, Canada. The conference, dubbed 'Technology from the Arctic to the tropics' is intended to support a high degree of technology transfer between regions by providing a unique forum for exchanging ideas and information.

The conference will cover a number of topics, including: flow simulation and modelling; metering; instrumentation and control; pumping and boosting; process separation; transient analysis; slugging; and integrated production simulation. A one day teaching seminar is also organised to complement the technical content of the conference.

The conference is designed for those involved in the application, development and research of multiphase technology for the oil and gas industry, and engineers from other industries for whom multiphase technology offers a novel solution to problems. In particular, the conference is suitable for designers, facility and operations engineers, consultants and researcher from operating, contracting, consulting and technology companies
