The main aim of EVA 2000 Scotland, taking place in Edinburgh, UK, from 26 to 29 July, is to provide a forum for the user, supplier and scientific research communities in the field of electronic imaging and the visual arts to meet and exchange experiences, plans and ideas.
The latest news on new European Commission and international cultural initiatives and projects will be available, and discussions will centre on open access to cultural heritage using information systems, cultural tourism and technology, and cultural web portals.
SCRAN will be provided in the form of the Scottish Cultural Resources Access Network workshop - SCRAN uses multimedia and web technology to make the treasures in Scotland's museums, galleries, libraries, archives and historic buildings more widely available.
The workshops will centre on business opportunities and winning financial support and cultural web portals.
