The EuroPrix Summer Academy is the unique chance for young multimedia producers and students to learn about current trends and innovations in new media from leading multimedia experts.

The annual event will this year be held in two different European cities - on 26 to 28 June in Milan, Italy, and 10 to 14 July in Salzburg, Austria. Each of these academies focuses on different aspects of multimedia production. The academy begins with a practical and theoretical workshop week in Milan and continues with a product presentation seminar week in Salzburg.

Winners from Europrix 99 will be on hand to pass on their knowledge in multimedia concepts, user-oriented content production, effective use of new technologies, as well as in marketing strategies and licence rights arrangements. A series of workshops will focus on in-depth presentations of the winning products and applications regarding all issues from financing and marketing to storyboarding and creative design.

In addition to the summer academies, Europrix has this year set up a free on-line academy, called a European e-learning platform.

An on-line exchange of experiences with nominees and winners will begin after the Europrix 2000 winners are announced on 5 November in France. It will provide an opportunity to gain an insight into their awarded projects long before the beginning of the Summer Academy 2001.
