The French National Contact Point (INRA-INSERM) for the Quality of Life and Management of Living Resources programme is organising a national information day on 'improving the participation of the socio-economic scientific community in the Quality of Life thematic programme'. The event will be held in 'Sources d'Europe' in Paris, France, on 30 June 2000

The event will provide the French research community and industry with an overview of the socio-economic dimension of the European Commission's Fifth Framework Programme, and in particular the Quality of Life programme. Presentations will be given on action line 13 of the Quality of Life programme and of the recently launched biosociety website.

The information day will conclude with a round-table with experts from the health economy sector and food quality and consumer protection, The debate will focus on how the socio-economy and life sciences scientific communities can define relevant research questions in the field of human health, agriculture, biotechnology, food and health.
