The International hydrogen energy forum (or 'Hyforum 2000') will be taking place in Munich, Germany from 11 to 15 September.

It aims to provide an insight into the sustainability of hydrogen as an energy source. The conference will try to take the issue out of the laboratories and into the public arena by bringing together the policy, business and technology elements of the sector. Its argument will centre on how hydrogen can provide the sustainability needed while also reducing the effects of energy on the environment.

The event has the patronage of both Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission and Gerhard Schroeder, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
