Altener 2000 goes to France

The Altener 2000 conference focusing on 'Renewable energy for Europe - campaign for take-off' will be held in Toulouse, France, this year from 23 to 25 October.

The conference programme is structured in plenary, oral and visual presentations and will cover topics including:

- a European Community overview;
- renewable energy in major urban areas;
- renewable energy in rural areas;
- renewable energy in cities;
- renewable energy in isolated areas;
- solar wind and hydro power;
- biomass.

Further invited papers will be presented as well as plenary session contributions from the European Commission and the EU Member States.

The conference, co-hosted by the French presidency of the EU, will provide an opportunity to encourage and reinforce cooperation between the main European actors in the renewable energy sector.

High level policy makers, renewable energy partners, utilities, industries, financial institutions, European and international associations and present and potential Altener contractors are invited to attend the event.
