Final RegPol² Conference – Registration open until 15 August 2017
Although policy makers are promoting social, economic and territorial cohesion throughout the European Union, we are currently witnessing rising disparities at all spatial scales. The conference aims to gather findings on processes of socio-spatial polarisation, focusing on political, economic and community-based strategies and on the limitations and negative impacts of current regional, social and economic policies across Europe. Scientists, policy consultants and policy makers from regional, national and European levels are invited to engage through interactive discussion formats, photo- and video-presentations and paper sessions as well as two excursions.
The diverse programme will comprise:
Discussions where practitioners and researchers can meet and exchange their ideas
Workshops in design thinking and communication
Field trips to (1) the old-industrial region of Mansfelder Land and (2) the disadvantaged but transforming quarter of Leipzig East
Keynote lectures
Scientific presentations
World café for early career researchers on “Questions on identity and peripheralisation”
Policy shift elevator pitch – you can present your ideas on how to change regional policies
Poster and video presentations – we are still accepting proposals for posters and videos
Photo exhibition
