C-CASCADES Training Workshop – Water and Environmental Management

This Training Workshop is organised in the framework of C-CASCADES - Carbon Cascades from Land to Ocean in the Anthropocene - a European Union Horizon 2020 Marie Curie funded project. The main objective is to provide young researchers insights of applied research in the field of Water and Environmental Management.

14 November 2017 - 17 November 2017
France
This workshop will take place in Paris (France) from November 14th to November 17th. It is co-organised by VEOLIA, which designs and provides water, waste and energy management solutions that contribute worldwide to the sustainable development of communities and industries, and the research unit METIS from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC), which is working on water, nutrients and contaminants circulation.

This 4-days event will be divided in 4 parts (see detailed agenda on our website):
- Visits of Veolia sites (wastewater treatment plant, drinking water plant and research centre)
- Preparation of students’ future career (how to write a CV, speed dating with professionals)
- Conferences by Veolia and public French institutions in Water and Environment fields.
- Conferences about research programs on the LTER Seine River (Piren-Seine, Seine-Aval, OPUR...)

This workshop is a great opportunity for young researchers to get an overview of applied research in Water and environmental management, and to open-up new career perspectives.

This event is open for Master and PhD students and is free of charge. We are also welcoming any person who will be interested by some parts of the event (visits of sites, conference days).
