Informatics for environmental protection

Preparations for the Umweltinformatik 2000 symposium on informatics for environmental protection are in full swing and registration is now possible. The event, to be held in Bonn, Germany from 4 to 6 October 2000, will cover a range of topics including:

- environmental applications of geographical information systems;
- solutions for environmental communication;
- sustainable development for cities and regions;
- protecting water resources;
- environmental information systems;
- innovative solutions;
- intra- and internet environmental information;
- reflections of computer sciences for the environment.
