A look at inventions in 21st century

The World intellectual property organisation (WIPO), in association with the national board of patents and registration of Finland, are the organisers of the forthcoming forum on 'creativity and inventions - a better future for humanity in the 21st century' to be held in Helsinki on 5 to 7 October.
Representatives from patent offices around the globe are included in the event's draft programme, gathered to discuss a series of key issues affecting intellectual property and inventions. These include assessing what benefits inventors should gain, creating a supportive environment for use and development of inventions, the role of enterprises and R&D organisations and the importance of inventions in a knowledge-based society.
The event will also include a visit to Finnish firm Nokia's research centre on the last day.
