Experts from Finland and abroad will meet in Helsinki on October 3 for a conference which will consider how advances in risk assessment and management can be applied to improve worker safety across a wide range of industries.

Given the continuing emphasis on improving occupational safety across Europe, the meeting will provide an opportunity for managers, safety officers and others to examine both traditional and innovative methods for integrating risk management into their business operations. They will also look at how the requirements of customers, society and other interest groups, together with technological developments will affect progress in the field.

The meeting at the Unitas Congress Centre, Helsinki is sponsored by the Chemical Industry Federation, the Finnish Forest Industries Federation, the EFCE's loss prevention and safety promotion working party and the EPSC. It is organised by VTT Automation.
