European Conference on Sustainable Investment in Road Maintenance

Policy makers from European and national institutions will discuss investment in road maintenance with key representatives from the industry and user-groups at the European Parliament in Brussels on 9 November 2000.

The European Union Road Federation (ERF) will present a survey, conducted by 14 leading European road maintenance experts.

The event is organised by the European Union Road Federation (ERF) in cooperation with the European Parliament. It will bring policy makers from the European and national institutions together to discuss a new survey conducted by the ERF, revealing that a further 8 billion euro in addition to current investment levels are needed to maintain Europe's road networks to safe and high quality standards. The study offers recommendations for an adequate road maintenance policy.
