Sweden - the place for regional development

A school for international regional development studies (SIRIUS) will be held on 24 to 30 November in Stockholm, Sweden.
The event, a six day programme of courses and workshops targeted at programme managers and partners from local and regional authorities, development agencies, voluntary bodies and interest groups is being organised by the European policies research centre (Glasgow), and Nordregio, the Nordic centre for spatial development (Stockholm).
Issues to be tackled during the course include the EU policy response, main trends in spatial development, strategies for regional policy, for rural development, urban regeneration and rural-urban partnership, for interregional transnational development, measuring spatial development and the territory as a policy framework.
