The centre for sustainable design in association with Delft University of Technology is organising a conference on 'sustainable product design' in
October 2001 in the Netherlands.

This is the sixth conference on this theme, which will aim to highlight new research, methodologies and case studies covering sustainable service systems. Papers are invited on a range of themes including:

- Environmental product policy;
- 3S methodology and tools development;
- management approaches;
- strategies;
- service extension;
- product extension;
- leasing/renting sharing
- product substitution;
- production on demand;
- demand side management.

Abstracts of 500 words should be submitted by 31 January 2001. These will be reviewed by an International advisory board and selected authors will be invited to submit full papers,
