A workshop on European funding opportunities for IT projects, organised by the innovation relay centre business information source in association with UKISHELP will be held on 29 November in Inverness, Scotland..

Participants will learn how to benefit from the European Commission's 'user friendly information society' programme. The programme covers the whole range of information and communication technologies, systems and services for the citizen, multimedia contents and tools, new methods of work and e-commerce and essential technologies and infrastructure.

Participants will also receive practical information and assistance on how and when to apply for funding. Grants for collaborative research and development projects cover 50 per cent of the full economic costs. Grants for take-up actions cover 100 per cent of personnel in addition to 50 per cent of consumables, durables, travel and subsistence costs.

The workshop is aimed at British directors and senior managers of companies developing new products and services, local authorities and other public bodies.
