A number of places are available for a series of training courses on successful negotiating, organised by the European association of research managers and administrators (EARMA) and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe.

These will be held on 4 and 5 December 2000 and 25 and 26 January 2001 and aim to provide participants with the theoretical background for successful collaboration with partners. In addition, participants will be encouraged to develop confidence when negotiating in English, to widen their range of negotiating techniques, to practise principled techniques and learn how to handle difficult situations more effectively. There will be a strong focus on personal feedback and possibilities for networking with colleagues from all over Europe.
