Help for Growth Programme proposers

The UK contact point for the Growth Programme, part of the European Commission's Fifth Framework Programme, is organising three events to give guidance to those interested in submitting proposals. Representatives from the European Commission will be present at each event.
The events will offer information and explain the priorities for areas included in the Fourth call for proposals for the Growth Programme, due to be published on 15 December 2000. This will be the last major call for RTD proposals in all areas of the programme apart from transport policy, land transport and marine technologies research. The focus for each of the events is as follows:
- 9 January, Kempton Park, outer London: Generic activity on measurements and testing;
- 24 January, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham and 31 January, London: Innovative products, process and organisation and generic activity on materials.
All three events will also cover the special measures available for SME participation and measures to support the European research infrastructure, such as virtual institutes.
