A European Commission event, 'Training 2000', which will exhibit the best projects from the Leonardo da Vinci programme, is taking place in Brussels on 5 and 6 December. The programme, with a Community budget of 1.15 billion euro is an important tool for the Commission's eLearning initiative, which aims to adapt education and training to the requirements of the digital economy.

In addition to showcasing 120 of the best Leonardo da Vinci projects, Training 2000 will also provide information on the opportunities offered by Community activities and act as a forum for exchanging ideas and examples of good practice, and for debating and discussing vocational training issues. European Commissioner for Education, Viviane Reding will be at the event on 5 December in order to look at the projects on display and to talk to the participants.For further information, please consult the following web address:
