Research DG contributes to Committee of the Regions' environmental discussion

The European Commission's Fifth Framework programme will be represented at the conference 'The environment and Europe: a local and regional approach', organised by the European Committee of the Regions and held on 11 to 15 December.

Representatives from the Research DG will give papers on the quality of life and management of living resources, energy, the environment and sustainable development. Representatives from other DGs will also address the issues of environmental legislation, transport and energy and agriculture.
