The Baltic Sea Partenariat is holding an event to promote the development of international contacts between small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Riga, Latvia on 17 and 18 May 2001.

The conference will serve as a platform for the establishment of contacts between SMEs from, amongst others, the wood, construction, food products, chemical industry, machinery, IT and service sectors. More than 300 SMEs from the host countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as more than 1000 companies from 30 European countries are expected to attend.

The two days will be filled with thousands of pre-booked business meetings, which are aimed at concluding cross-border cooperation agreements and stimulating SMEs' international business activities.For further information, please consult the following web site:
