Experts to discuss biotechnology and the environment

A biotechnology and the environment conference, organised by a consortium of Croatian scientific organisations is to take place in Zagreb, Croatia on 19 to 22 February 2001.
Scientists from EU and non-EU states will present lectures or short communications on subjects such as the link between microbiology, chemistry, genetics and engineering, pharmaceutical research into infectious diseases, pesticides and the environment, genetic engineering and medicine and the importance of methanotrophic bacteria in the biosphere and their application in biotechnology.
