Thomas Östros, Sweden's minister of education and research, will launch CORDIS' new site, focusing on research during the Swedish Presidency and available at the web address below, in Stockholm on 19 January.

Journalists, researchers and academics will be present at the launch, taking place at the Karolinska Institut. Other than Mr Östros, Professor Hans Wizgell, the Swedish government's advisor in research issues, will also be speaking. Following their key note speeches, a presentation of the website will be given.

The site contains information on research and innovation in Sweden, interviews, a calendar of events during the Swedish Presidency, press releases, a personality profile and a look at Sweden's role in EU research and development. It is available in both English and Swedish.
