EGII - managing the mosaic

The seventh European Commission Geographical information and geographical information systems workshop 'EGII - managing the mosaic' will take place in Potsdam, Germany, from 13 to15 June 2001.

A call for papers covering the following topics is now open:

Local to Global, Common Reference System, Data Policies,
Metadata, Standards

- GIS Technologies
Visualisation, Virtual reality, Spatial Analysis, Spatial Data
Services, Interoperability

- GI Market
Mass market, specialised market, business to business, business to client

- Location based services
Mobile GIS, wireless technologies, integration

- Beyond Europe
Developing cooperation, international links

Participation from people working on projects funded through the European Commission's Fifth RTD Framework programme is especially encouraged, although the workshop is not restricted to EC funded projects, and all applications are welcome.
