An international symposium on information visualisation in medical and biological sciences, IV2001-MediVis, will be held from 25 to 27 July at SOAS, University of London.

The event organisers are now calling for papers, videos and participation. Authors are invited to forward three copies of their extended abstract or full paper to the chairperson of the symposium. Papers that address, but are not limited to, biomedical information visualisation in the following areas are welcome:

- natural data capture and manipulation;
- multi-dimensional structure sensing;
- physical parameters for modelling bio-medical structures;
- models, including particle, implicit surfaces, finite element etc.
- multi-structure interaction and deformation;
- multi-modality visualisation and structure matching
- surface and volume representations;
- 3D visualisation techniques and technologies;
- stereo and auto-stereoscopic visualisation;
- virtual and augmented reality;
- dynamic data representation;
- computer simulation and structure animation;
- image assisted biomedical applications, surgery, radiotherapy etc.
- human interface design.
