European network reviews car emission research
The PREMTECH network, formed under the key action three of the competitive and sustainable growth programme, 'land transport and marine technologies', joins together 24 projects dealing with the intelligent thermal engine. The network's main developmental areas are otto cycle engines running on gasoline or alternative fuels such as natural gas, diesel cycle engines for both light and heavy duty applications, control strategies of internal combustion engines and after treatment technologies of exhaust emissions.
At the workshop, 'Towards FP6 - Low CO2 & pollutant emission IC engines', the fourth such annual review, progress in the development of low emission heavy duty engines and light duty diesel and gasoline vehicles will by discussed. Project participants will offer information on their progress, and national representatives will give details of their individual research programmes.
In addition to Member State delegates, representatives from the European Commission, European Parliament, research institutes, universities, industry and EUCAR, the European Council for Automotive R&D (research and development) will also be in attendance. For further information, please contact:
